Words cannot express how grateful I am that my parents had referred us to Dr. Anderson and all the staff at Highsmith for when it was time to have my beloved Lola put down. So gentle and caring with my sweet baby girl. It was such a hard day but I was happy that my sweet baby was surrounded by caring individuals during her last moments. Thank you!
We needed a vet for our dog and had no idea who yo call. We are new to the area with no references to go by. Dr Highsmith was not what we were use to in a vet and in a good way. He gave our dog a thorough exam that we never saw a vet give in the north. Took his time and explained all that he did and asked plenty of questions. He has a wonderful staff working with him, very clean and reassuring throughout.
We have been going to Dr. Highsmith with our "Fur Babies" for about 30+ years, and have nothing but love and respect for him, his Associate Vets and Staff. They all treat us as if we are part of the family, and with 10 dogs, and a cat, we spend almost as much time at their Wrightsville Ave Clinic as anywhere...LOL!! Over the years, Dr. Highsmith has discussed alternative medicines and techniques that may help our particular problems, and has always been extremely helpful. The care of our pets is extremely high on their priorities. They also have a wonderful Groomer on staff, who we take two of our dogs to for clipping a couple of times a year. The 5-Star rating is not an exaggeration.
These folks are AMAZING!Caring and compassionate. We see Dr Anderson and she is way too nice. My dog is a happy idiot and she treats him like her own.Special people born for this profession.
