My 15lb dog has been super nervous since the day she was born. Everything scares her and she just can't seem to calm down - ever. I took her in to get a rabies vaccine and I told the vet that I think she would benefit from some sort of anti-anxiety medicine because she is a nervous wreck. I tried all the online remedies - melatonin, exercise, herbs, supplements. Her mom is fine - this dog is a nervous wreck. The vet wouldn't let me get any sort of pharmaceutical and made me feel like I was trying to get a fake prescription for my dog to abuse the medicine myself. Well, when the vet and assistant started to give my dog the rabies shot, as soon as the needle hit her skin she had projectile diarrhea while letting out the funniest screamy yelp and makes quite a mess. I thought it was pretty good karma but I still haven't found a solution for her anxiety.

We LOVE Dr. G and his team! We've been going to Forest Hills Veterinary for over a decade. We always recommend this veterinary hospital to our family and friends. Thank you Dr. G for always being great with our fur babies!

Dr. Paul Giggolotti is a damn nightmare. Not only does this vet office prescribe medications they know don't work ( tramadol) they also talk down to their clients . The had me paying almost 1000 dollars on vet bills for a car without ever diagnosing the problem, which by the way another vet diagnosed in 2 visits. Dr. Paul Gigolotti has misdiagnosed my pets numerous times simple because he is incapable of listening - i brought my yorkie in to ask about a breathing issue and he kept talking over me saying she had mange or a skin allergy till I explained to him, that no it was just a haircut. He is so pretentious and disrespectful and has no willingness to listen to the clients needs or concerns. Additionally they have no respect for your animals comfort - my very well behaved dog was suddenly and forcefully flipped on an exam table despite them knowing he has a leg injury - causing further injury- just to trim his nails. My other dog and I got home and despite me asking how her nail trim went they told me it went fine - they had cut her quick leading to pain and discomfort. I understand this happens but if they had they told me I could have addressed it- but they intentionally tried to hide it with flour and lied to my face. I WILL be taking my business elsewhere and I highly suggest you do not give them your business. If they can't be trusted with a nail trim or basic honesty and respect how can you trust your pets to them? I would like to note that Dr. Jill Giggolotti and Dr. Phillips are the only reason I continued to use this vet for so long - Dr. Jill Giggolotti is a respectful and wonderful vet - unlike her husband. If you use this vet make sure you ask for her specifically - but honestly I wouldn't risk it.

Dr. Gigliotti treated my dog a couple of times years ago before we relocated out of state. Now that we are back here, I chose to take Dexter back to Forest Hills. I couldnt have made a better decision. All of the staff made us feel welcomed and comfortable, as if we had never departed. It was determined that Dexter had to have an unexpected surgery during our visit back. Dr. Gigliotti was extremely thorough in explaining step by step what was to be expected and remained patient as I asked numerous amounts of questions. He went above all expectations before, during, and after the procedure. Dr. Phillips assisted us the day of surgery, as well. He was friendly and reassuring. I recommend Forest Hills to anyone who doesnt just want a VET for their pets, but wants a VET who genuinely cares for the well being and quality of life your fur baby will have.

Dr. Jeff Phillips was so loving and kind to my little girl (cat). My cat was so nervous, and he took the time to soothe her. He was very informative and even offered to email him if I had any questions. He is an excellent addition to Forest Hills Veterinary Hospital!
