This trip was one of the best times of my life. I dont exactly know why but I think it was because of being able to freely explore the ship and they had it set up very well. I was like a kid in a candy store the whole time!
Loved learning the history and exploring the ship it was very fun! It really puts things into perspective climbing between different levels. Pictures and seeing things like this on TV just doesn't do it justice. You could spend hours there reading each story. I plan to go back very soon.
A great site from afar and an even more spectacular site from abroad. The ship itself is in great condition all things considered and its age. The different areas to peak through give an excellent representation of what life aboard was like. Great destination for the whole family! Highly recommend!
Quite the war vessel and a remarkable piece of our history. A $14 ticket gets you up close and personal with the battleship. Crawl in the big gun turrets, or sit in the anit-aircraft seat and move the guns (yes, you control them)! Descend into the belly to get a real feel of what it must have been like to live with your fellow sailors. Great for adults and kids. Tour guides are there to answer your questions and the gift shop is well stocked.
Love this entire experience. Do give a donation to save the hull and make sure you have at least 2 hours to see everything. It was amazing. I wish the gift shop had more items that Id actually thought was unique and cool to buy. I would go back in a heartbeat. Make sure to stop and relive the lives of these men and walk this boat!
