I celebrated my birthday here! They have a very good red wine. Their cakes selection is fantastic! I highly recommend their cakes.
How do you combine delicious food with a friendly, warm atmosphere? Head to The Fortunate Glass in downtown Wilmington, NC. I, strongly, suggested they bottle the chef and preserve him well, because every plate that I ordered was filled with the most special combination of flavors.I was dining alone but have to admit that by the time I left I knew the owner, the chef, the waiter, the bar tender and a good number of the other diners in the restaurant. Delicious food; wonderful spirits; most friendly patrons; most hospitable staff. Perfect formula for a delightful evening..
I love this place. They have a large selection of wines and tasty snacks. Its conveniently located downtown on Front Street so you can add this place on your list to "hop" to along this street. The bar itself is very cozy and the decor is lovely. The staff is always attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu items. Make sure you put this on your place to visit when in downtown Wilmington.
Checked online to see the operation hours and was very excited to try this place out, heard great things. Showed up thinking they were open ( cause they showed that they were) they were not. Walked around for about 45 min thinking they were just running behind. Went back 1 hr 45 min after they were scheduled to open to see the signs out and the outside seating set up. Still doors locked. Not a good way to gain new business.
Great experience. They we're having a free wine tasting when we arrived. Found a couple of wines we really liked that paired well with our cheese plate. Duck sliders we're also a great choice. Great atmosphere, food, and service. The owner also made a point to introduce himself and greet us
