Decent food, nice atmosphere. The food took a bit longer than expected & there were a few very drunk people but as it's a bar it shouldn't surprise anyone. Also dog friendly!**Right now, (winter 2018/19), this floating restaurant, has floated elsewhere to be refurbished. As I understand it, they will bring the place back when the weather gets warmer.
Played it safe and tried the fish n chips platter, which happily satisfied my hunger. I could see two people sharing a platter menu item, but since I'm an big American boy I finished it by myself. Ron Swanson would be proud. Had a nice view of the sunset over the trees, and a cool breeze to compliment scenery. Only thing bad was that the water smelled kinda murky, but I'm writing this review about a week and a half after Florence hit. The food was also good for my group, and I've heard the wings are something to try as well. I asked for a sweet tea and my drink tasted alittle on the unsweetened side, so either my southern side is too strong or they gave me the wrong drink (which was no big deal). Place has a bar (that I didn't try yet) and on some nights live music is played. Still, overall chill and happy atmosphere by the river. If I'm ever back in the area, I wouldn't mind stopping by again
Great place to grab a sunset drink on the waterfront boardwalk in historic downtown Wilmington. The floating barge acts as a bar and restaurant. Has table service and bar service if the tables are full.Good cocktail list and you can perch up overlooking the river enjoying the often live music acts playing.
The best way to enjoy this bar is to eat somewhere good, then get a drink here and watch the sunset (or in the winter, get a drink here and watch the sunset then go elsewhere for a good dinner). Drinks are watered down and the food is passable but less than fantastic. This restaurant is in a barge firmly attached to the boardwalk. It doesn't rock, it feels like standing on a pier. There is a roof to keep out most rain and excessive sun, but there are no walls so you have no protection from heat, cold, or humidity. The view is amazing, and there are no walls or streaky windows in the way.
Really great outdoor spot. No AC but its on the river and gets a nice breeze. They also have large fans to keep the flies away. Perfectly fried seafood. Service is good too. If youre a beach person youll enjoy it.
