Terrible terrible people. I have lived in this town my whole life I have only been here 3 times because i refused to give them my money after the first time. I would only go if someone else is paying. And even then I highly suggest this place be shut down. The cages are too f-ing small. And they have been this small since i first went 20 years ago. They are inhumane. If you think this is a fun family place then you are a sick and twisted individual who is blinded by materialism. Go to a real zoo. This place is hell.
Went to this zoo summer 2018. Read all the negative reviews. Had to find out for myself. Not sure why it had bad reviews. This place is a clean, friendly zoo. All the animals are well taken care of. You can feed most of the animals. That was really cool. It was really laid back. Peacocks walking around. We spent 5 hours there. Taking pictures and letting my son take in all the cool animals. Can't wait to visit this spring. You have my support Tregembo Zoo !
For it's small size it had so much to offer. I loved feeding the cute little monkeys. The fenix foxes were just too cute playing and making little noises. Best of all was the giraffe getting so close could almost touch him.
Five stars because my son had a great time and was so excited for the animals. Staff could be a little friendlier. Overall great experience as a family outing.
*NOTE: Another review posted on 11-15-18 is FALSE: It describes a golden retriever in a tiny cage-? First, the zoo was closed today, and second, they do NOT have a dog at the zoo in a cage! I am disgusted by false facts being spread about this wonderful facility! I am a frequent visitor to this zoo, and I think it is an immaculate facility! I love to bring my family here, including extended family, nieces, nephews, etc. I have spent many years volunteering at sanctuaries, rescues, animal parks, animal hospitals, and zoos. Tregembo Animal Park is as good as or even BETTER than many facilities around the state, the U.S., and abroad. The friendly, knowledgeable staff takes great care of the animals, and the animals all appear healthy and "happy!"
