Not my favorite PD but they helped me out of a tough spot. I got caught breaking into my mother in law's house to get back a ring that she took from my wife that I am currently separated from. My father in law came in during the middle of it and we got into a little scuffle that ended with both of us in the hospital. Instead of charging me with everything possible, they cut me a break and only charged me with the assault on my father in law, and he later dropped the charges because he found out my wife is pregnant with his first grandchild! I got the ring back also, because WPD offered to escort me into the home to get my property. I unfortunately had to pawn the ring last week to pay for my clinic bills and buy some extra naloxone.Thanks for everything you guys do!
They were very gentle when they handcuffed me. The inside of their patrol vehicles are really clean with a lot of leg room. Overall enjoyable experience for the whole family and very professional. Will get arrested by them again, for sure.

A majority of the reviews for this department claim that they are making up laws or stating they are conducting unnecessary law enforcement practices. These people fail to give any proper examples so I have reason to believe they just got busted for their various wrong doings and are now bitter about it. Either this, or they have an agenda to diminish the views of quialty of the department because they want to get away with criminal activity. Keep doing your work officers and ignore the people who are failing to give actual accounts for their negative reviews.
Just called to ask about looting at family dollar and police hung up on me. They have just opened the flood gates. Citizens be aware. Mayor Saffo is to blame.
