The library is usually clean and kept up well/tidy. Wish they had more study areas/desks for people. Typically the 4 cubby desks are usually always taken so then you have to go to the back of the library which is typically loud and oftentimes people don't follow the no phone policy so its bunch of distractions.
Nice library. Small. Story time is great for the kids. Should have more of a variety of childrens books.
Love this library and entire New Hanover County Library system. Great friendly and helpful staff. Good website to search for and find books and place a hold on what you want. They will transfer books quickly from location to location . Convenient self check out stations plus helpful labrarians if you need one.
Library is clean and well organized, and the staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. There's a lovely children's room, and a very large meeting room where I've heard a number of interesting presentations. There are small tables with chairs, a comfortable "living room" seating area, and even a glass-enclosed larger table and chairs suitable for a small meeting.
I come to this library fairly often to be online, read and spend some quiet time away form home. I have to say though, as clean and friendly as this library is...it is the LOUDEST library I've ever been in. People talk on their phones, and I get there are children there, but parents should take younger children into the children space and not let them yammer for hours beside other patrons who are there for the peace and quiet. If I can hear you above my headphones, you are too loud!!!
