I would recommend this hospital to anyone needing orthopedic surgery. I have had awesome service here all 3 times I have had surgery here, I know my surgeon Dr Craig Lippe had a lot to do with it and his awesome staff. In 2015 I had meniscus tear repair on left knee and was in a wreck 2 days later which messed up knee surgery, then in 2016 I had total knee replacement on left knee. In 2017 I had total knee replacement of right knee and I was very happy with all 3 results and all people involved in my care.
We are very sadthey did not want to take care of my daughter because of her broken arm, because I come from another state and the receptionist very bad and despicable above all ... with a malevolent look and a very heavy way of treating my husband and me ... we just spent the loss of a family member a child and then the hurricane comes and we take my girl to the hospital, at least they should be a little kind to the people ... who do not know what situation they are living a little kindness would help a lot only if they did not want to attend it just be cordial and readyThank you!
Worst Hospital in Wilmington I would have to say. I had taking my wife for kidney stones and the wait to get in the Emergency Room was only 15 minutes that wasnt bad at all. We get in the room and they give her a gown and ask her to give urine sample. So after waiting an hour and not once did a nurse come in the room to check on her. So I use the nurse button and ask to have her nurse come in and the lady at the desk ok. Well 20 minutes later nothing no nurse or anyone comes in. I open the curtain and to my surprise my wifes nurse is on her cell phone so we had no other choice to leave because they obviously dont care about patients needs. The worst hospital and very unprofessional and the doctors dont do nothing other then sit at the nurses station looking on Facebook.
Amazing staff and doctors who actually care! Dont go to New Hanover Hospital they are terrible! I recommend Cape Fear they actually try to figure out whats wrong with patients and not just try to get you in and out. Also the wait here is never long they get you back right away! I love this hospital.
