Such a beautiful atmosphere here I love the clean environment and the people are so nice I wanna say great job!!!
I was married at Grace United Methodist Church a few weeks ago. I must first say that the church is gorgeous, and if you can get past the office manager never responding to emails, everyone is actually really wonderful to work with... Now on to what left a bad taste in my mouth (other than the fact that the church wasn't open when I requested/they confirmed it'd be). After our ceremony, everyone, including our mothers who were sitting on the first row, told us they couldn't hear a word of the ceremony. How embarrassing! Then, when I listened to the audio CD that the church gave us, it was blank! Well, it wasn't really blank, you just couldn't hear anything. I contacted the church, and apparently the stand-in pastor (this was switched at the last minute due to health issues with the regular pastor - I was OK with this - apparently shouldn't have been) forgot to turn on her microphone. Out of all the people we were paying that day (director, assistant director/sound, organist...), how could no one speak up?! Because she forgot, my new husband and I have nothing to remember our ceremony/vows. They suggested we come back in and do a fake recording of our ceremony, which would require my husband and I to travel all the way from California, and I'd have to coordinate all of the other participants in the wedding to be there as well. Obviously that makes no sense, and I don't want a fake ceremony recorded anyway. Basically I paid $1,750 for none of my guests to hear our ceremony and to have no record that our ceremony existed at all. They also don't let the photographer come out of the balcony so I imagine all pictures will be far away and dark. With this said, I am writing this to future Grace brides (not potential church members) so that you can make sure this doesn't happen to you. If you do have issues, they won't give you a dime of your money back. At least that's what they told me!
